By Outi Niemi, Secretary, MulteFire Alliance

As you can imagine, it took many dedicated people working countless hours to deliver the MulteFire Release 1.0 specification and associated technical white paper. These milestones and industry resources help to define MulteFire technology, as it enables innovation in the unlicensed spectrum and introduces a number of new use cases for private or neutral host networks.

These monumental achievements were a great way to kick-off the New Year, and to keep the forward momentum, we’re exploring many geographic and vertical market opportunities for our continued promotion efforts. We are particularly excited about prospects in Japan and will be holding our next MulteFire Open Day in Tokyo.

Hosted by member company, SoftBank, the Open Day will feature a great line-up of presentations and technology demonstrations that will educate and inform anyone interested in MulteFire technology.

The event will feature keynote presentations on MulteFire, as well as a presentation from the XGP Forum that will highlight opportunities for MulteFire in Japan. Additionally, there will be a panel on how mobile operators, enterprises and IoT will use MulteFire technology and the business benefits it will bring to each vertical. The presentations will conclude with a reception and MulteFire technology demonstrations from Athonet, Nokia, and Qualcomm.

We invite you to RSVP and join us in Tokyo.
