It’s hard to believe Mobile World Congress Barcelona is less than one week away! This event will mark the first anniversary of the MulteFire Alliance’s official launch. We have accomplished so much since MWC 2016, highlighted by the completion of our first specification, and I look forward to the Alliance showcasing its achievements at MWC 2017.
This year, the Alliance is excited to host our first-ever booth at MWC. The booth, #7F81 in Hall 7 will feature MulteFire technology demonstrations from Athonet, Huawei, Nokia and Qualcomm, and showcase MulteFire test products from Sanjole. There will be demonstrations showing how MulteFire’s carrier aggregation can be used to boost network performance, how its seamless mobility can be used in an outdoor scenario, and how it could be developed to support narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) connectivity for efficient use of spectrum and increased battery life of devices. There will also be a demo showcasing how a MulteFire core-network device can be used to deliver dedicated networks for Industry 4.0, Enterprises and Neutral Hosts. If you are interested in learning more about MulteFire technology or would like to walk through the demos, contact us to schedule an appointment.
The MulteFire Alliance plays a key role in pioneering technologies such as, standalone unlicensed operation, over-the-air spectrum sharing, and Neutral Host network architecture. To exemplify this, we will also be hosting a MulteFire Business Opportunities Event on Tuesday, February 28 from 2:00-4:00pm in Press Room 1 in the Media Village (located on the upper walkway.) At this year’s event, our members and invited panelists will provide insight into business models and MulteFire deployment scenarios for industrial IoT, enterprise, venues, cable operators, service providers and more. You can see the full agenda and register for the event here.
We hope to see you at MWC 2017!
