Mobile telecommunications networks are taking different forms. The first, and most obvious, were the networks managed by mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) that emerged with different levels of complexity and independence from the “mother” network that hosted them; that were initially operator-dependent for basic processes and evolved into MVNOs that only require radio access to operate.

Parallel to this process, private networks began to gain more and more strength, already existing in previous technologies but promising accelerated growth as a result of the arrival of 5G, whose new capabilities can help many verticals to be more efficient.
